Marc Cucurella Saseta, born on July 22, 1998, is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a left-back or left wing-back for Premier League club Chelsea and the Spain national team. Known for his prowess in the left-back and left wing-back positions, Cucurella broke into professional football with Barcelona, though he spent the majority of his time with the reserve team. Subsequently, he played over 100 La Liga games for Eibar and Getafe before joining Brighton & Hove Albion in 2021, spending one season with them before transferring to Chelsea in 2022. Cucurella's exceptional talent was recognized early, as he was capped at every youth level for Spain, from under-16 to under-23. He even won a silver medal with the under-23s at the 2020 Olympic tournament. In 2021, he made his senior team debut, representing Spain at UEFA Euro 2024, where they went on to win the tournament.
